UpSwing Outdoors is a Progressive Web App (PWA), which means you can install it on your phone just like a regular app, but without going through an app store. It works on both Android and iPhone!

Open UpSwing Outdoors in Chrome
Make sure you're using Chrome browser on your Android device and visit upswingoutdoors.com
Tap the Menu
Look for the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner of Chrome
Select "Install app" or "Add to Home screen"
You may see a banner at the bottom of the screen, or find this option in the menu
Confirm Installation
Tap "Install" when prompted. The UpSwing Outdoors icon will appear on your home screen!
Note: If you don't see the install option, make sure you're using Chrome browser and that you've visited the site at least once. Some Android devices may show a banner automatically when you first visit.
Open UpSwing Outdoors in Safari
Make sure you're using Safari browser (not Chrome) on your iPhone and visit upswingoutdoors.com
Tap the Share Button
Look for the Share icon () at the bottom of Safari. It looks like a square with an arrow pointing up.
Select "Add to Home Screen"
Scroll down in the share menu and tap "Add to Home Screen" (you may need to scroll to see it)
Customize and Add
You can edit the name if you want (it will default to "UpSwing Outdoors"), then tap "Add" in the top-right corner. The icon will appear on your home screen!
Note: You must use Safari browser on iPhone. Chrome and other browsers on iOS don't support "Add to Home Screen" for PWAs. The PWA will work great once installed, even if you normally use a different browser.
Once installed, you can open UpSwing Outdoors just like any other app on your phone. Here's what to expect:
- The app opens in full-screen mode (no browser bars)
- You can access it even when offline (for previously viewed content)
- It updates automatically when you have an internet connection
- You can move and organize the icon just like any other app
Android: Can't find "Install app" option
- • Make sure you're using Chrome browser (not Firefox or other browsers)
- • Try visiting the site again - sometimes the install prompt appears after a few seconds
- • Check Chrome settings: Menu → Settings → Site settings → Make sure "Add to Home screen" is enabled
- • Some Android devices may require you to visit the site multiple times before showing the install option
iPhone: Can't find "Add to Home Screen"
- • Make sure you're using Safari browser (required for iOS PWAs)
- • The option is in the Share menu - scroll down if you don't see it immediately
- • Make sure you're not in Private Browsing mode
- • Try refreshing the page and opening the Share menu again
